First of all don't panic follow my advice to the letter and you will loose weight guaranteed. I know because I am wheelchair bound and I lost six stone.
Secondly your going about it all wrong, throw the Slim Fast in the bin right now. Low calorie diets don't work period.
Besides why deny yourself such delights as chocolate or a glass or two of wine.
Get yourself along to your doctors surgery and pick up a free copy of the British Heart Foundations life time eating plan. On it you can eat and drink what you like within reason. I have mentioned this many time before to people and they find it hard to believe but it's true.
Thirdly invest in an exercise bike, you can pick a second hand one up out of the local paper for a fiver or buy brand new for just under thirty pounds.
Aim for thirty minutes exercise in the morning and thirty in the evening. Exercise while watching telly or in the evening invite some friends round and have a glass of wine chill out and exercise while chit chatting. You will be surprised how long you manage to exercise for and maybe your friends might want to join you.
Unfortunately the only way to loose weight is through eating the right food and exercising period.
All the best Andrew D

A proper diet is the best way to lose weight naturally and keep it off. You have to eat a varied adequate and balanced diet. Your body needs all kinds of food to function properly including fat in smaller quantities though. Your body needs the nutrients and vitamins in fruits and vegetables the most, that is what you should eat the most of (at least 5 servings a day). You also need protein, and a little fat. Reduce your intake of sweets, fried food and foods that contain a lot of fat. Don't drink too many alcoholic beverages or soft drinks (they have a lot of calories). Don't go to sleep right after you eat. And finally exercise at least 3 to 4 days a week for about 45 minutes.Good luck. You can also get more information about nutrition from this site:

It sounds like a shift in metabolism or habits to me. From another of your questions, you reveal you are 23 years of age, and for us less educated types in the US that don't measure weight in stones, I have a vague recollection that one stone is either 14 lb. or 16 lb., so that would put you between 126 and 144 lb. in US reckoning. For someone who is 5 ft. tall, that is somewhat overweight. Consider that you might have gone through lifestyle changes that you did not keep absolute track of, i.e. , going to college often causes some people to put on weight just because of the venue and situation change. They don't notice until they are all of a sudden 15 lbs. heavier. Exercise is the key; be active and your weight will not fluctuate as wildly as it would otherwise. You're not THAT overweight, so simply adding a 4-5 times weekly 30 minutes workout or walk/run/swim might do the trick.

Continue your weight loss regimen. At first, it will seem as if you are not losing and one day you will notice the weight loss! Do not weigh daily, have a specific day of the week to weigh-in. I know I started dieting in May 2006. I could not tell until September. Be encouraged! (I had lost 20 lbs at that point...I have lost 41 lbs to date.)

exercise. just start a small routin
go to the gym for 20 mins...
do 15 mins on the tredmill
and 5 min of sit ups.. and slowly (or at your convenience increase your work out)
I NEVER worked out prior to loosing weight. It took 2 weeks to get off the first 5 lbs.. and after that it took only 3 months to lose 45.. and im still loosing

You really do need to step up the exercise. Eating healthily is a really great start, but you have to burn the calories too - and exercise is beneficial in so many other ways. You'll be more toned, be able to do more and sleep better. I would strongly suggest you stick to the healthy food and exercise and don't rely on the Slimfast stuff - that sort of thing is very fake and not really the best way to go.
And to catfish-alamor - what a horrid and unnecessary thing to say.

Slim fast is not a great way to lose weight!
You need to re educate yourself as to how to eat healthily and slim fast does not do that in the long term. Exercise is obviously the big thing. To lose you need to do physical exercise , a good brisk walk will be enough to get your blood pumping and speed up your metabolism;
As we age its easier to put on weight and to stop that we need to adjust our lifestyle, that why weight loss and maintenance id about lifestyle rather just "a diet";
Good luck...I'm fighting my own battle at the moment, and winning! :D

It gets harder to lose weight with each year that passes. Sometimes the body doesn't respond to a certain diet even though it has responded before so challenge your body and you HAVE to exercise even if it's only walking or bicyling. good luck
