It depends. Some providers will pay for it all if you need lasik eye surgery for a medical purpose such as cataracts. However, if you just fancy clear vision and dislike contacts or glasses, then it may not be covered.

I am pretty sure they pay a small portion. All it would take is a phone call to the dental vision plan. Ex: They may pay the first $500 of the procedure. I think lasik is about $2,000 (not at all sure). Added note: Health insurance does not pay for this. Just making sure you know. Vision insurance pays a portion.

If you're having Lasik for catarac removal, or another medical condition, then health insurance will pay for it. If the only reason is to correct your vision, then no, they won't pay for it.

Most don't, but some pay up to $500 per eye for the surgery. Check with your provider, they can probably give you better information than anyone on here..

You may have to ask your providor, my insurance pays for some cosmetic procedures and cosmetic dental work. Try looking in your hand book or calling the number.

Some plans do, some do not. It depends on the riders your employer allows. Best bet is to call your member services and ask.
