you always have tomorrow. mistakes are common, people lose sight of goals and things seem overwhelming. change is a hard road. you can do it. love yourself. everyone feels like this at some point. it takes a strong person to pull themselves up and just do it. remember who you are and what you want. you deserve it.

Wow. Your question really struck a chord with me. I feel the same way about most of my life. I'll tell you what I did that has made all the difference in the world for me.
I have been in therapy for a long while and though it does help, I have taken it upon myself to hire a "life coach".
I felt that while therapy helped with issues of my past and my emotional well-being, I needed help with defining my goals and figuring out how to attain them. I put an ad on "craigslist" under the "barter" catagory because I have very little money and figured I could trade my secretarial skills for some guidance. Well, I hit the jackpot. I have now found someone who will stretch my thinking, help me decide what I should be doing, and how to get there.
I'm not saying this will work for everyone and God knows, there are a lot of crackpots out there who will pass themselves off as coaches, so I would advise anyone to be very careful in choosing one. There are also coaches who will do it over the phone (especially if it is a long distance from you to them), but often will charge well over $100 a session! Sometimes it's $300-$500!
Reseach is your best friend. I have also found that if you google things like "setting goals", "organization" and "life of learning", you can find a ton of info. Best of luck to you! If I can, believe me, you can too!!!

Yes, about the messed up part. About "fixing" it, as you say, I really don't try to fix it. What's past is past. I just move on and vowel to do better, even if it's just a little better. I make a lot of mistakes and my goal is always not to make the same one twice. As I get older, sometimes, I feel as though I've missed goals, but you know what? I just make some new ones. And I never, ever, never give up! Hope or anything else...never! And you shouldn't either.
Good luck!

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed
he was walking along the beach with the LORD.
Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene he noticed two sets of
footprints in the sand: one belonging
to him, and the other to the LORD.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him,
he looked back at the footprints in the sand.
He noticed that many times along the path of
his life there was only one set of footprints.
He also noticed that it happened at the very
lowest and saddest times in his life.
This really bothered him and he
questioned the LORD about it:
"LORD, you said that once I decided to follow
you, you'd walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most
troublesome times in my life,
there is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why when
I needed you most you would leave me."
The LORD replied:
"My son, my precious child,
I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you."

I think everyone feels this way sometime in your life. But if you let it consume you its not good. Set tiny goals for your life. If this feeling is overwhelming, I would guess that you are depressed and need to consult a doctor.

Find yourself someone to talk to about this. I recommend your doctor, clergy or a therapist. Try to find someone you can trust and isn't going to judge you. That's why I strongly suggest a professional, they're trained to handle it correctly. For your best results be completely honest with whoever you choose. Honesty and open-mindedness are key to discovering what's troubling you. Good luck and God bless. Peace.

Reality isn't broken, so there is nothing real that needs fixing.
What isn't permanent isn't worth striving for, and the only permanent goal is already complete waiting to be realized as it is.

If life was all gold and glory than it would be boring. Life is exactly what you put or don't put into it.
