There are no standard for writing piano tabs. Each must be interpreted by the transcriber. See the site below for a few examples.

There is absolutely not point whatsoever in learning to read piano tabulature. It was created for people who don't know how to read music, but the system that they have created is actually more complicated than our standard music system! TABs make sense for guitar, because every string is capable of playing notes that can also fall on other strings. TAB's are a helpful way of telling you what strings to use for the chord in the context of the song. But piano doesn't work that way! On the piano, a note is a note. Please, listen to us. Not only will learning to read music help you play better. It is actually EASIER than learning to read this idiotic TAB system that someone created.

You have to know what notes to play for each chord. After you learn the structure of chords, you can make it more interesting.
When you say piano tab, I'm assuming that you mean there are words with just chords above them. No actual notes.

I've never seen music tabs for piano. Are you sure those aren't for the guitar?
