Vitali Klitschko retired about 2 years ago from a knee injury but was granted an Emeritus Champion status as WBC heavy weight boxing champion on Dec 2005. According to WBC ruling 1.21, an Emeritus Champion can challenge the current title holder if and when they come out of retirement. Samuel Peter is challenging this decision. He believes he's worked hard and earned this title shot first against Oleg Maskaev. What's your opinion?

Craig? Samuel Peter fought Wladimire Klitschko and lost. Wladimire is the current IBF champion. Vitali is the former retired WBC champion in question here. I say yes, they should let Vitali get a shot at his title again. It'd be a much more marketable fight than Samuel Peter I think. Also, I think Peter would lose anyways. Also, Vitali winning would mean that the 2 brothers would hold 2/3rds of the 3 major titles. I read several years ago that it was their dream to each hold 2 of the 4 titles. I think that would be awsome so they should go for it. If the brothers held all 4 titles, it'd be kind of cool if you had to beat both brothers to be the champion. Maybe they'd have rematch clauses too. Then you'd have 4 Klitschko matches presuming you won them all. Or a pair of rubber matches, if you had

on your record, you could literally spend YEARS fighting them away from the title hypothetically. I think Vitali should get the shot first because it opens up alot of possibility that would rejuvinate the HW division.

If I were Peter I would let the fight go on. He can use the time to get in even better shape before his guaranteed shot. He improved greatly over the last year and time is on his side. When Klitschko takes his belt back, Peter's title shot will be a lot more meaningful than taking out Maskaev.

I don't think Samuel Peter has the stamina and or proper training to compete with any elite heavyweight out there, let alone a Vitali Klitscho. He's a Toughman contest type of fighter. He expends too much energy looking for the knockout and that will be his downfall if he doesn't get that discipline training.

If Vitali is granted the Emeritus Champion, then yes he can get a title shot if he wishes one. People dont cry or get mad just because you dont like or agree with the rules. Plus Vitali is a damn good heavyweight. Peter simply isnt. Who has he beaten? Toney???? Oh my god who cant??..ha,ha. I can tell you who he lost to. umm Vitali's little brother. The former champion should get the shot for it will be so much of a better fight.

Wow! Im shocked you've this variety of tremendous number of human beings are determining on Maskaev. i in my opinion did not provide him a shot adverse to Peter. Samuel Peter has too a lot ability and that i become predicting a knock out. except those human beings recognize some thing i do not he will be knocked out by technique of the eighth round. each and every time he has fought the spectacular or perhaps mid card fighters with strong punching ability apart from Rahman he has been knocked out. Oliver McCall knocked him out contained in the first round. no he should not have to chaalage kliscko, he has proven himself already. klicstko should not be able to just come back in and step ahead of peter thhis is where boxing earns it's black eye and many people may say that race plys a role, it does not matter the klicstko is russian but it does matter if he is white..

BOXING IS CORRUPT, A PERSON WHO HAS EARNED THE TITLE SHOT SHOULD GET IT. THIS WOULD NEVER HAPPEN IN THE UFC.
