Your dog is in his 'teenage' years right now. This is especially pronounced with unfixed dogs. They seem to forget all their manners and training and just go a little nutso. Dogs do eventually grow out of it, but it takes different amounts of time for different breeds (some could argue that labs never grow out of it)
First, is your dog fixed? Getting him fixed, in addition to improving his chances for a long healthy life, will reduce the hormones that make him act a little nutsy.
Training is your best option. Take him to a training class. In addition to training your dog, it will teach you how to train your dog. Look for a class that is all positive reinforcement, preferably something with clicker training (check with your local vet or petsmart). There are books (available at either your local petshop or bookstore) that can address training for problem behavior in more detail than I can here.
The next question I'd ask is what sort of interaction you're doing with your dog. In the wild the first things that dogs do when they get together after while (such as when you - part of his pack - come home after spending all day at work/school) is hang out, interact, and in the case of puppies, jump on each other. So the best thing to do when you come home from work is to spend time playing with your puppy.
If you can, take him for a jog or a long walk or play with him in the yard until he's tuckered out. A tired dog is a happy dog (and will be less jumpy after expending all that energy)
As far as the not eating goes, talk to your vet about it and get a workup done to make sure he doesn't have any medical problems. If he doesn't, you can switch him over to a more appetizing and calorie rich food (like wet food or you can put doggy gravy on his dry food.)
I hope this helps.

I think a training class would be great. Good trainers love to work with dogs like yours because they are drivey and interested in training IF you make it rewarding for them. If you go to a school that has agility or another fun dog sport like flyball or disc dog, you'll meet other people with nutjob dogs and you can start to enjoy your dog. Here's a link that can help you to find a club or school for some help (below).
Exercise is key. Mental and physical exercise will keep this dog from destroying things, too. Have you gotten a crate for this dog?

Try calling your local community college to see if they have a dog obedience class. I just found out ours does. Anyway, if they don't, you could put in a request for a class. They are usually quite accomodating, and if there is enough interest, they will schedule one. Its very annoying to go to someones house and have their dog jump all over you and lick you, especially if you are dressed for an occasion. So I understand your frustration, and I think I would see if I could take classes somewhere with my dog.

He should grow out of this faz. My brothers dog did the same thing until he was about three years old. And since you dog is only two then you'll just have to wait it out until then.

they will be hyper until they are about 3. You can buy dog food that will help put on weight on him in the meantime.

examine her backside to be sure it is not caught up w. dried..... properly you recognize... if so a heat soak in a bathtub will help... if she's no longer visibly stopped up... provide her some canned pumpkin... no longer the pumpkin pie mixture... one hundred% pumpkin... it is going to help with constipation and diareah... and it extremely is extreamly solid for them... initiate with a pair of table spoons... My doggies (back while they had the subject, enjoyed it and it did help) on the 1st availble time you're able to get your dogs to the vet to be sure there is not any blockages from the interior... yet with my adventure some doses of one hundred% pumpkin helps... P.S. a lot of excersize helps lots! besides fiber, excersize is a backsides superb pal! gets the insides shifting around... play some fetch or only run around along with her a on the same time as.

Get the dog to the vet for a check-up and a good worming, and then, get some TRAINING. You are not provided that, and THAT is the reason the dog is out of control!!

He needs training. Try group lessons or private lessons. Just like children, dogs need to be taught what is right and wrong.
