I think Agnostic is someone who believes that we are incapable of knowing if there is a God.

Kinda somewhere in between and atheist and a believer.

A person who does not believe we can ever know if there is or isn't a god. Also usually believes that none of the religions on earth have the correct perception of god(s) if he/she/it/them does/do exist. I'm an Agnostic.

One definition is that one believes that there is not enough evidence to prove the existence of God. Thus taking a middle stance between atheist and theist.

My preferred definition is someone who simply doesn't know for one reason or another.

a theist says "god exists"

an atheist says "god does not exist"

an agnostic says "it is impossible to prove that a god exists"
