There are those who walk like, talk like, knows the scriptures(Satan knows them) but, has no part of the Truth.Christ & the Holy Spirit does not indwell within them. They tell lies,try to deceive many by putting them under bondage, ie... by abstaining from certain foods,forbiding marriage, speaking lies of hypocrisy,preaching the doctrines of man & not God's.Having a form of godliness but denying it's power,always learning but never able to come to the knowledge of the Truth. It was the same then as it is today, but more so as the latter times are upon us.

There are many people who are deceived by the counterfeits.
Counterfeit Christianity is probably the best description I can give for a cult. Counterfeit Christianity is an imitation of real Christianity. Bible terms like "Jesus Christ, Resurrection, Salvation, and Atonement" are used by the Cult, but the various cult groups have assigned entirely different meanings to these terms.
Like counterfeit money which is sometimes difficult to detect, so it is difficult to detect counterfeit Christianity, since it looks like the real thing. Experts examining counterfeit money often hold it up to a strong light and look for identifying marks. Counterfeit Christianity also has identifying marks, which can be seen when, held up to an even stronger light, the light of God's word, the bible.
We are at an advantage if we know what to expect from a cult. Cultists are very well trained to appear "Christian", and indeed believe they are the true churches, and you need the deliverance! Therefore, be bold and ask the question, "do you believe the group you represent is the only true church on the face of the earth?"
If they reply that they are, or if they are evasive, making remarks like "Well, every church has a measure of truth but...", you have made an early detection of a Cultist.
Every true Christian, if asked the same question, regardless of his denomination, would reply that the true church is comprised of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, and HE (not some organization) is THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE, (John 14:6). No legitimate denomination would claim that they alone and their members have salvation exclusively, but the cults (the counterfeits) do.

It is a description of today, do we need any better proof that we are in the end times.
2Timothy 3:1-9 also says;
1 ¶ This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.
9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.
Does this not describe what you see today?
Do you see any of this in the R&S forum?

Satan has been let in to their lives. This has been going on since Paul went from church to church preaching the gospel of Christ. We have the ability to find and assist those individuals that are open enough to listen to HIS WORD and obey. Read Acts 8:22 and Rev 2:5; 16:21. Thay address the answer to this problem for our friends and neighbors. Have a great weekend.

In the last days people would rather abandon there faith than to listen to God. A lot of cults teaches deceitful things and twist and turn it to sound very close or nearly similar to what the Bible say. Hold on to what you have do not let the evil one rob you of what you have

It is telling us that we need to be rooted in the truth so that our faith will not waver. We need to study the Word and prove all things; Scripture will interpret Scripture if we cross reference and study with an open mind.
