skin that flakes is over dried. Bathing causes this, as well as weather conditions. Suggest when you bathe you use a good moisturizing body wash and apply a moisturizer after the shower as well.

Sounds like if self help doesn't work that you may need to be referred to a dermatologist via your GP. It could be a condition called psoriasis, eczema or similar
Meanwhile - avoid using any harsh chemicals in the shower or bath. Use a product called Allergenics which can be bought at Boots. They do cream, shampoo and shower gel. The sun can be very drying to skin, so avoid it as much as possible. When in the sun apply plenty of high factor sun tan lotion and after being in the sun apply more moisturising lotion to your skin.
Wash your clothes in a non biological washing powder which especially suits skin alllergies.
Ensure you have a balanced diet which will also help improve your skin condition. You could take evening primrose oil which helps skin tone.

The bathing may be the problem, depending on the temperature of the water or what you are washing with......watch for potential allergies to products, check into some really good moisturizing products......summer skin can become very dry from the sun, ect. need be contact the doctor you could have a skin condition that may need some treatment.........frequently just a prescription cream will do the trick. Good luck!!

You would need to wash less. Let's face it, the only parts you really need to wash daily is your pits, and your privates! Using soap drys your skin out, so try to find a body wash for sensitive skin. You may also have a medical condition, so I would try to see a dermatologist if you can. Use a good olive oil as a skin conditioner in the shower and on your foods as much as you can. Try taking fish oil pills. Your diet may have something to do with it also, if you aren't eating right. Drink plenty of water so you and your skin stay hydrated! Hope something helps. Good luck!
PS You can also buy a shower filter that will take the chlorine out of your shower water. It drys your skin really bad! Your water may be harsh where you are.

Use only soap with an oil or moisturizing cream base. Add humidity to your living quarters by getting some form of humidifier. On days when you can skip the shower - skip it. That is the problem in USA - we are antiseptic-ed until we dry up like prunes in the sun. Skipping a shower or two a week can let some of the natural oil in your skin build back up. Use moisturizer if necessary.

Believe it or not - You may actually be bathing too much! Your body produces natural oils, and too much bathing - especially with soaps will cause your body to dry out and ultimately flake.
I'm not telling you not to bath or shower - that's just... ew....
Just limit it to one shower or bath a day - and switch from soap to a moisturizing body bar or body wash like Dove.
Another trick is to rub some oil - baby oil, olive oil - or something to the effect all over your body while you are still wet from your bath/shower and before you towel off. Keep a bottle in the shower with you.

whats up, I go through with dry dermis (which does not flake as a results of careful moisturisation). those are the stairs you would be able to desire to take: Drink lots of fluid Eats lots of unpolluted fruit - Vit C is crucial for healthful dermis Get lots of sleep and take measures to stay clear of stress decrease your intake of sugar (extra yeast interior the physique could reason the floor to flake) consume organic yoghurts or devour extra healthful micro organism on your abdomen in basic terms have showers and use bathe gels or moisturising soaps like Dove that's extremely mushy Have heat not warm showers in case you have baths, positioned some drops of olive, sunflower, mandatory oil interior the tub - be careful as a results of fact the tub gets slippery Moisturise with an oil based moisturiser - creams are heavier than creams, opt for the main suitable one for you're taking a sturdy multivitamin and attempt to get some organic sunlight. If after a million month, you do not see lots progression bypass to work out your surgeon or dermatologist. in case you have slightly money I tremendously propose Aveeno (demanding to obtain interior the united kingdom yet Boots can order in for you. broadly attainable interior the U. S.). Bio Oil is super! It removes scars too. you may get it in bigger Superdrug shops and Boots too. all of the main suitable Desiree

I get this in the winter when the central heating comes on. Bathing won't help it will dry out your skin. When you do bath and slightly wet use an all over Intensive 24 hour moisturising lotion daily. I find this really helps. Leaving your skin slightly wet adds more moisture. Scrubbing will help to remove excess dead skin, but over doing will caus flakiness.

Just rub Vaseline all over your body when it's still damp. I find most creams disappear into the skin and skin gets dry again in no time.
