well the easiest place to find him is to trace old friends and family. with the internet being what it is it sould be relatively easy once you know where to look and he wants to be found.
Secondly you should let your kids locate him on their own (with guidelines given by you) so that when he hurts them by not wanting to be a part of their lives, they can not blame you.
It's natural for them to be curios but this is shaky ground for you.

I have a few suggestions...you can do some checking on the Internet. If you know his date of birth and where he used to live you can find out quite a bit and not have to pay for it. just do a google search for free background checks..Intellius.com or webdetectives.com will give you some answers. Next if you have any idea what county he used to or ever lived in go to the city assessors web page an do a property or tax records search. You can also go to a state where he has lived in and check their free public records on the Internet. You would be surprised what you will find, also always check the criminal and civil records at those sites as well. I would be more than happy to help you do some research if you like. Feel free to email me at moninicole@hotmail.com. I have a personal issue with fathers that abandon their responsibilities and neglect there children no matter what the reason is. Tell your girls to be strong and hang in there!!!!!

Go to the prosecuter's office and file charges. They will find him. That is what i had to do. Then on the court date, the judge asked me if i wanted him incarcerated and i told him no i just want him to take care of his kids like he is suppose to. It's a shame that kids has to miss out on there dad being around because the dad is a dead beat. But it happens daily. He will have to not only pay what was ordered but an additional amount for back support too or they will throw him in jail. Good luck

hi, been there done that honey . Where I live we can go to the court house and take out Criminal Child Support papers on dead beat dads, it will move the cops more so , b/c it is a criminal act and there will be a warrant out for him in less than 24 hours. Also you can tell them where to look for him and you will get to set his bail amount and it goes to you , all of it. I'm taking classes right now for Criminal Justice on-line and have been fighting that battle for over 16 yrs , but now I don't have that to worry with .

dang I wish I could remember the name of the company that would go after dead beet dads. it was on tv. The got paid on a portion of the child support, but atleast you got something.
The welfare office is more active in collecting child support at no charge then bothering to go threw the courts. they maybe able to help you more.

Wow, sad story. You could use the internet, Intellius is a good start. There are fees, though rather minimal when we are talking 20K in back support. Just do a google or yahoo search for Intellius. I believe its intellius.com but also, do a search for finding a deadbeat dad...there are a lot of sources out there. Good luck to you and your girls.

If he hasn't been a father to your kids in 13 years would you really want to track him down and have him in your life again? I would be happier continuing my life without him. If he knows how to contact you and has chosen not to then chances are if you find him he's probably just going to cause you alot of trouble and stress if you're trying to get money out of him. I honestly don't know how any parent could not be a part of their children's lives, I can't handle being away from my son each fortnight! but if this deadbeat has walked away this easily he's probably not going to be feeling guilty enough to just hand over the money.
I think you're best off living the life you've created for yourself and your family and forgetting about him, even though it might upset your kids, they will realise when they get older that they wouldn't want to have anything to do with a father who doesn't want anything to do with them.

hope this helps.... child support can put stop on his tax return i you ask but there's never any garrantee that this will work as it take a couple of weeks to put in place and some dead beat fathers know how to get around this ...
just give your girls as much info on him as you can and do tell them not to expect to much as he might not want to know them ...usually once they hit 18 the father resurfaces thinking that he doesn't need to pay anymore..
good luck with it all ....

Do you know his social security number? You could use that. The court system should be able to find him if you have his number, especially if you're getting any type of state aide. Have you googled him yet? Good luck.
