I have bought many of Insurances ,how could one of the company told me that I bought the wrong policy?

I bought many years of Insurance policy,How could be wrong? It very funny told me about this matter, I wasn't a non-educated don't understood of what policy to be bought,told me eleven yrs have to refund the sum to me,but not at all.
