I have looked on breed sociotys and they arent any help at all.

How to preserve the breed ~ make sure if you breed you breed for the breed standards!
Gentic disorders ~ there are all kinds of testing for it. Your best bet would to find a vet who specializes in the breed.

Breeders and show dogs promote and preserve the breed. It's up to the breeder to make sure their line is clean (no inbreeding or "disorders", diseases etc). Show dogs are the advertisment.
If you're interested I'd start with talk to a vet about what you need to do and the precautions to take when becoming a RESPONSIBLE breeder.
