I currently work with special needs population and i am 31 and i am looking at going in a bit of a different direction. I have thought about religious studies but i think i am leaning toward more holistic health areas. Is there a online or distance program that you would suggest i check into or does anyone have any suggestion with regards to this field. anything insight would be great

If you're willing to put in some honest effort and study time, you can become a legitimate Health Practicioner, Holistic or no. However, be careful. Holistic healers have a bad name due to the scams that some of their number have brought-out over the last while, the most infamous is the super dilute concoctions that many sell. Avoid those and you'll be good.

However, any form of education in the Health Care field will *generally* be in a classroom setting (and take several years full-time). However, start contacting *reputable* institutions about this possibility.

I think holistic healing is a great career to venture into......one never knows what the future holds and we may need to use natural resources to survive...search Bolder,CO they have a very eclectic community with lots of schools and teachers also explore Oregon area the pacific NW tends to be very holistic..i use herbs to do my healing but never have gone to school for it just read....we have a Tibetan doctor here he is one of I believe two in the country....he is very good at what he does and he helps clients nationally. I hope this helps. Blessings CB PS:personal opinion:careful with religion
