There is nothing wrong with you and surprisingly, this is fairly common. It primarily has to do with sleep patterns of the brain. In sleep you have decreased levels of conciousness and decreased levels of motor control. Usually these are suppressed simultaneously... but not always. There can be a "state" where you're almost asleep. Your level of conciousness is severely suppressed but you have some concious thought process and awareness of your surroundings. But your MOTOR or muscle function is still completely supressed. These states are usually while falling asleep or waking up. It can induce almost a state of panic as you try multiple things to "wake yourself up." It's not dangerous and as far as I know, there is no treatment other that adequate and proper sleep patterns.

Hope that helped.

Choking ghost can't be heard, the experience of choking can be only felt and can be explained or expressed to others. This happens to many people. This experience usually happens when the person sleeps with more tiredness and in a closed room. In which the person usually suffers from lack of oxygen

Yes, that is a very strange and unnerving thing. It used to happen to me, but hasn't for several years.
Could be that folks just 'grow out' of it.
