i want to lose about 30 lbs. im not very big into exercising though but i walk a lot at my university. i need a pretty good diet plan/advice so i know what i can do to lose weight before may. can anyone help please!!!

Hi there, To lose weight, the best thing is to do cardiovascular exercises like biking, jogging, walking at a fast pace ( the intensity should be high since you want to lose fat quick ) ...You are supposed to do them on an empty stomach in the morning or in the evening. The reason why we do it on an empty stomach is bcos u dont hav any food in ur body that it needs fuel to get energy for u to do that exercise.. Then, your body resorts to burning the body fat as a fuel. Do cardio for 40-45 mins 6-7 times a week. But, note this that cardio takes 30% and diet takes 70%. So eat 4-5 small meals a day which contains low carbs, high quality protein ( lean read meat such as chicken breast, nuts ( they hav good fats which make u lose bodyfat and good for general health ), beans, turky, tuna ) and lot of vegetables ( dont eat junk food like french fries or McDonal food or stuff ). By eating smaller meals more frequently the metabolism become fast and it help ur body put in an anabolic state which is good for losing fat. And avoid eating sugary food , sweets and the likes. Try to hav less stress ( just try to think that argument or whatever problem is not gonna kill u that you dont really hav to care much, for example). And try to get restful sleep around 7 hrs a day. SO, that is everything u hav to do. You will see the difference in 2-3 mths if u follow them strictly.

truth be told that alcohol , beer is very fattening and it decreases ur testosterone level resulting in estrogen increase which encourage ur body to gather more and more fat. And Fruits !! when losing fat, avoid fruits bcos they contains sugar and stuff which are fattening. Good luck :)

P.S.. make sure your breakfast is very nutritious,,, eat it right after u are done doing cardio.


I added this bcos someone said you can lose them by eating no or little carbs. It is true that u will lose weight by doing it, BUT your bodyfat % will remain the same since you are losing both muscles, water and fat and you will become unhealthy as well,,, not only that your metabolism will slow down and in the future, you will see urself gain fat easily bcos of that. So, try to lose fat but not just weight right from the beginning.

I just started a new program this past Wednesday. Have you heard of the pill "Fahrenheit"??? That's what I've been taking. And, I just weighed myself today and measured my bust, waist, hips, thigh, calf and arm, and so far (within 2 days) I've lost 4 inches! I feel great. Last time I weighed myself was on Wednesday when I started it and I weighed 145 pounds. I don't have a scale right now, so I don't know how much weight I have lost. Well, exercise is a great way to lose weight, but I am sure if you less your in take on carbs, or dont eat carb and meat at the same time, you should be able to loose weight that way. Also, don't eat dinner past 7:00 at night. A good way I learned is if you drink alot of water with your meal or even before your meals, you fill up on water, so you don't eat as much. Maintain a good diet and stick with it. Best of Luck!!!

A proper diet is the best way to lose weight naturally and keep it off. You have to eat a varied adequate and balanced diet. Your body needs all kinds of food to function properly including fat in smaller quantities though. Your body needs the nutrients and vitamins in fruits and vegetables the most, that is what you should eat the most of (at least 5 servings a day). You also need protein, and a little fat. Reduce your intake of sweets, fried food and foods that contain a lot of fat. Don't drink too many alcoholic beverages or soft drinks (they have a lot of calories). I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

Weight is a question of input versus output. You did not mention how your diet is like.

Weight or fats = toxins

The best diet is one that removes toxins. I would recommend a detox cleansing diet as to be the one that not only addresses your weight but any other health symptoms that you may be having eg. low energy levels, etc.

I had the same problems and after kids it got worse, I tried everything till I found a simple way eating bee pollen it has a natural appetite suppressant and you can take it with you anywhere you go just sprinkle in your mouth, in yogurt , over cereal its awesome I lost 60 pounds over a year ago and for the first it has stayed off and no re gain at all and no cravings I an full of energy and those jeans I always wanted fit now. If you want to lose weight- if you're even willing to stop eating- then a crash diet. I wouldn't reccomend it, but you sound desperate. The best ways to lose weight in a healthy manner is to exercise.

I also am overweight I just started spark people .com it is a very good on line program that helps you stay in check of what your eating and exercising and lots of support and good articles to ,help just give it a try its free and I've already lost 21 pounds and inches off every where
