In this country it does not go by age it goes by height. If the child is over 4 feet tall he or she may sit in the front seat of an automobile wearing a seatbelt of course.

Agree to the state by state laws.

We've got 4 and a double cab truck. The 1.5 year old sits in the middle front with airbag off. We were sideswiped by a car a few months ago and the officer asked if the airbags were of and he was happy with that.

I think it varies state to state, but I seem to recall 40 pounds in Missouri. Don't take my word for it tho. Your local police should know.

I don't think age matters, but I believe you have to be 80 lbs.
