Some sects of Satanism (notably the Church of Satan, a group that follows LaVeyan style satanism) is a tax-exempt religion.
It's important to remember that some sects of Satanism (such as the CoS) are notibly atheistic -- they do not believe in a deity or a demonic presence, rather they use the name as a symbol of the left-hand path, or frankly do it just to **** off the Christian majority. These are similiar to the Buddhists in that technically they should not be called religions because they are myths.
Some sects of Satanism, such as the Temple of Set, are theistic and reject the deific for the demonic.

Yes, it is a valid religion. Religion means Ceremonial worship. Followers/Satanists worship the fallen angel thru ceremonial offerings and other activities like Christians worship the one, True God. It's a valid religion, but the exact opposite of what is good.

Yes it is very much a religion. Remember all religions start off as these crazy little groups of ppl causing trouble. Some get help from governments in the form of killing anyone who doesn't believe thus helping them grow and because the bullsh*t they are today (Christianity).
"Satan loves you"
Amen

The are a valid religion, but they mostly aren't really "satanists", most don't believe in the Christian god at all, and so, don't believe in Satan. They like the term "satanist" because it gives the impression of anti-Christian, as most Satanist's vehemently hate Christian theology.

Yes
I think one of the proverbs is "an eye for an eye a tooth for a tooth" and the main philosophy is do what you like as long as you ask permission from Satan afterwords.
Sounds pretty sinister huh and pretty familiar.

I would imagine society would see it as a valid religion. I personally think that religion is a disservice to God anyways. Believe in Christ, submit to his will in your life, and develop a personal relationship with him. By doing this, religion will hold less than a small match to the light of Christ.

It seems to have all of the necessary elements to be called a religion. If something smells like a rose and looks like a rose, it surely is a rose.

No...devil and his followers do no longer have my appreciate. there is a few respectable satanists available, yet each and every of the satanists i have heard from were a number of the most hateful, depressing people i have ever met...We shouldn't manage satanists poorly, yet i'm many times no longer very keen on them and that i think of their beliefs are unlucky.
