OK, I strongly support "to each his own," but I've met a few people in my life that were religiously "over the top."
5 things, eh? OK:
1 - A sudden disdain for everything "of this earth;" pleasures of the flesh, all arts and literature, etc.
2 - Very frequent participation in forms of group prayer and worship; they have this overwhelming need or desire to participate in group worship activities. This is seldom a solitary experience.
3 - As a result of reason #1 (above) they often become a total pain in the butt to friends and coworkers around them. All of a sudden, they're critical of anyone's sensual pleasures; married or single.
4 - They become very prosylitic; trying to "convert" everyone around them.
5 - All of a sudden - according to them - worship or communication with the Lord becomes this "charismatic" activity, as if one must now be leaping, reaching, weeping, babbling in total spiritual orgasm or their faith is somehow not strong enough or sincere enough.

I'm not sure that there is a formula of 5 things, but since I did a message series about this last year, I'll give you six :)
For starters, it takes complete and absolute trust that the words of God are true and right - faith -
1) It takes courage to drop everything to follow Jesus.
2) It takes eternal perspective to concentrate on making an impact eternally rather than temporarily.
3) It takes humility to live unselfishly towards others and for Jesus.
4)It takes knowing who you are in God's eyes after accepting Jesus as your Saviour.- Identity -
5) It takes endurance to keep going when the world seems to be falling apart around you.
6) It takes passion.

five signs of a jesus freak
1. agressive evangelizing
2. treating other humans that dont think exactly like you do, like crap
3. believing blindly that christianity is a relationship, ignoring that it is a huge religion
4. pretending you have the monopoly on spirituality, and nobody else is spiritual because if they were they would be just as rude and arrogant as you are
5. dont study your religion, that would cause you to think and that would cause you to realize its all a lie.

1. hate your neighbor if hes not christian, hate your neighbor if hes not the same sect of christian as you are.
2. discriminate, whether it be women, gays, blacks, native americans or asians.
3. say love the sinner hate the sin, but say it with a sneer, to let them know that you really hate them
4. say youre not condescending, then say we're not perfect just forgiven.
5. act superior to the hell bound heathens, then burn them at the stake as usual.

3. Believe that Jesus died on the cross for you and rose again.
4. Be willing to surrender you life to Christ.
5. Invite Jesus into your heart and life.
Pray this prayer and be sincere.
Heavenly Father, I have sinned against you. I want forgiveness for all my sins. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for me and rose again. Father, I give you my life to do with as you wish. I want Jesus to come into my life and into my heart. This I ask in Jesus name. Amen.
