You are correct Kimo, ANY Christian group that worships the pagan trinity God is breaking the commandment and Jesus new command to love God with your whole being.

Someone who loves God will not worship or give thanks to false Pagan beliefs.

It really depends on two things...first is how each christian conceives of the trinity concept (if they believe in the trinity at all) and second is from whence they came.

If the personages of the trinity are view as different attributes of God that God uses to interact with His creation in different ways, then this does not violate the first commandment....if the particular christian in question comes from a christian or pagan background. If a person converted to christianity from Judaism, and some say Islam as well, for that individual, christianity in any form is outright idolatry.

No. God said "no other Gods but ME". The "ME" is the Trinitarian God. Since He consistently declares the existence of the Trinity (from "Let us make man in our image" to Jesus claim of the I AM for Himself) in Holy Scripture....it is the same God.

There is a person in Scripture called the Father who is called God. There is a person called the Son who is called God. There is a person called the Holy Spirit that is called God.

The "Shema" - "Hear O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is One" - the word "one" is not the "number" one - it means a "composite unity".

No we don't worship three Gods as you all like to make it out. God "in" three persons doesn't mean three different persons or Gods.

Christians recognize God's ultimate power were as others limit God's power which is their down fall.

I don't know about the trinity. But haven't you ever read in Gen. 1:26 God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, in Our likeness..." There are 2 entities of the same substance. I think spirits mingle together into one not like us in the flesh who are separate bodies. Jesus said that He is one with the Father as we will be one with Him. It's alittle hard for us to comprehend the spiritual realm because we are in the physical realm. So the answer to your question is a definite no.

Reminder; the Hebrew has several terms (ballpark 10) that get translated at god. Some of those terms are singular, some plural.

Not all christians go for the trinity you know. There is only one God, who has a son, Jesus. The holy spirit isn't a person, its a thing, a gift given by God. You don't worship a thing.

It's very obvious actually, Jesus prayed to His father, He instructed us how to pray, to the father. We were never instructed to pray to Jesus and the idea of praying to the holy spirit, a thing, is just ludicrous.

You are correct. The Bible does not support the concept of a trinity. Trinities predate Christianity way back to Egypt and other "pagan" nations.

Yes, ginenglish... water can exist in 3 different forms but it can only be in one place at a time. If, when Jesus died, he simply took on one of the "forms" of God, who was in heaven to resurrect him and at who's right hand is he said to be seated now?

and note to Last Ent Wife: I agree we are all born in sin but Hmmm I did nothing but honor my parents, last time I checked I had not murdered anyone, have never stolen or committed adultery (or coveted my fellow woman's husband).
