music is strangely powerful to us...it produces a range of emotions and causes the same pleasure centres to be stimulated in your brain as taking cocaine or eating chocolate according to science....it can make us laugh, cry, have goosebumps...have a manic high, relax us,can increase or decrease our physical energy...animals and unborn babies respond to sounds even....so what does music do for you and how do you explain this amazing ability music has to affect us???

She, as much as you've tried to mention some effects that music can have on human beings generally, you've "deliberately" refused to mention what effects it does have on you as a person. Well, I just think I need to have this information from you cos that's my profession. You may contact me through my profile for further discussion(s) - if you can. Cheers!

It depends on what type or genre of music. I can chill out to some classical, old school R & B, jazz or some folk. If I want to channel some aggression, give me some metal, rock, and alternative. If I am in the mood for love, give some Marvin Gaye or any old school 70's love music. Don't give me country or rap though. I am not inbred or ghetto enough for that s*it. LOL

I know it sounds crazy, but whatever mood I'm in, it seems like the universe plays music to compliment it. When I'm sad, every song on the radio is sad, when I'm confused every lyric conflicts with others in the song, and so on. My boyfriend noticed it one day when the night before we had had a really big fight and weren't sure if we had broken up or not. We were driving home from the mall and every song was saying exactly what I wanted to say or wanted him to say and felt as awkward as the situation. To this day, every time we're in the car he calls out when songs match me for the day. Isn't that weird?

music lets me remember good times from the past. it reminds me of a special time, place or person. it brings back memories of my childhood and times with family which have pass on.
music makes me feel happy, alive and with energy. it stimulates my mind and if i am in the mood, i in returned get up and start dancing again. lets me sing while i clean or just trying to relax after a stressful day.
i always have music on. whether i am in the car, at home, at work, anywhere. it is the first thing i listen to in the morning and the last thing i do at night.

I always listen to music that reflects the mood I'm in to make me feel more comfortable. Like If I'm sad I will listen to sad music b/c that's where I want to be until I perk up and then I will change styles. Whatever the occasion is I have music for that.

Music is great! It has a multitude of attributes both good, and
bad. It makes me feel good, it's kind of like a medicine that
can make you feel better. For me it also bookmarks time,
and events in ones life, wherein we associate certain events
in our life and times to a particular song. It can make me want
to dance, and move around. Music also has a calming effect.
The list just goes on and on. I can't imagine the world without
it.

first off, i love all kinds of xtreme metal, and the only feeling i could describe it as adrenaline rush/euphoria. But it is also based on the vibration, of the sound waves, octaves, etc. music is an exceptionally powerful tool of releasing emotions, or a way to channel your creative energy....

there's no need to explain anymore how this affects us... it is a pert of life, and it is as it is....

For me music is all about the way it stirs. I get goosebumps, it can make mefeel more energised, alive, happy, excited, fcukin 'up for it'. It can also make me shed a tear and turn the wheels in the aul noggin as well.

Music rocks. It rocks hard.
