This is my second trip to Ireland and first time to Donegal. We're staying in Culdaff, and I'd like to know some things to do that are away from the typical tourist attractions.

I ve been to Culdaff , there was a great pub for live music ,
Carndonagh is only down the road , also Greencastle is a nice fishing village close by . It is also close to Malin head Ireland s most northerly point .
Like already mentioned Glenveagh National park is good , also Sleive League irelands highest sea cliffs are in NW donegal

Co. Donegal is beautifully rugged. Explore the hills and the coastline. Glenveigh is a national park. Fiddling is big in Donegal if you like traditional Irish music (Enya and Clannad are also from Donegal so there's also modern takes on traditional celtic). You'll hear much more Gaelic spoken in parts of Donegal than elsewhere in Ireland. Read Brian Friel's plays as he's from Donegal and a lot of the plays take place in a fictional town in Donegal (Ballybeg if I remember correctly).

Mallen Head is beautiful as well as the Gap of Lamor. You can also go to Derry or Giant's Causeway.
