i have been diagnosed with pomphylix eczema (ten years ago). The most recent flare up has lasted for about 7 months now, and its driving me crazy. Does anyone out there know of any treatment i could try? I am desperate and would try pretty much anything. I think i have exhausted all the creams and lotions route, and none of them work for me. Thanks

I also suffer from eczema and although I use the usual creams I still get occasional flare ups which don't response to creams at all. On all of these occasions I have successfully settled it using homoeopathic remedies, have a look at this website and see if any of them match your symptoms, you can use more than 1 remedy if needed. I usually see a huge difference after a day or two and then keep taking it for 5 days to keep it under control.

You should find these remedies available in Boots or any health store and most come in 2 doses so choose the strong one if you are really suffering.

i have had realy bad eczema all my life i'm now 22. also my 1 yr old has it. i've had ifected eczema where i scratched and made it bleed so infection could get in. i have also exhausted all the creams and such but i found only 1 cream will work n me, i dont know if u've ever tried it it's called fucibet, it calms the itching and my eczema clears up significantly after just one application, it's only available on prescription so suggest it 2 ur doctor. also oilatum bath emolient helps my baby but it makes my eczema even worse so u could try that?
also i tried a seaweed mixture, u can get it from the body shop, dont know where else, but u mix it up with some water and paste it onto ur skin and leave it for a few mins then wash it off, i found this worked a bit too. anything is worth a go!
good luck!

I can understand your pain and suffering. I am an eczema sufferer too and have been looking for natural eczema treatment solutions.

I subscribed to a free newsletter recently that has plenty of information and research on remedies. I've got some success with some of the information contained here. Here is the site http://www.eczematreatmentsecrets.com

Hi,
You can find a good natural remedy for your eczema here http://www.goobypls.com/r/rd.asp?gid=556 .

A few more tips: topical medicines or ointments can be used to treat eczema, which are usually recommended or authorized by dermatologists and skin care experts. However, while these cures are available, you need to remember that prevention is still the best way to protect oneself from this skin condition. Make sure to keep your skin hydrated, maintain daily body hygiene, and avoid using skin products that are harsh on your skin. A good lifestyle can also prevent the onset of this skin condition. Always remember to take care of yourself, and avoid getting yourself into stressful situations. Develop this habit, and you'll be successful in averting this very common skin condition. It may be hard to do, but with a little discipline, persistence, and will power, you will be able to handle it well.
Have a nice day

I don't know much, but from my 8month old baby that has a little case of eczema, I use sudo cream, E40 and bath him with aqueous cream. If you have already used all these, I read an article which talks about using biotin to treat eczema. This is contained in vitamin B complex tablets. Follow the instructions and monitor. Other sources of biotin are brown rice, potatoes and grapefruits.
Hope this helps.

I think exzema is nothing more than an undiagnosed food allergy. I found out 2 years ago that I was allergic to wheat, eggs, soy and peanuts. When I gave them up, the eczema went away completely for the first time since I was young. I cheated on diet 5 times, and all 5 times it came back. Try keeping a food diary for a couple of weeks to see if it gets worse with 2 days of eating certain foods. Or get allergy testing done, so you can find out right away. Good luck!

Ah you poor thing my son has eczema so i know how hard it is to cope with. If the cream and lotions thing isnt working for you i would suggest going back to your gp as there are other treatments and medication you can get for extreme cases, stress can cause an outbreak too so maybe try to have a stress free enviornement where possible. other than that i dont know i just lace my sons arms and legs each night with silcocs base and put bandages around them to keep in the moisture but as you said the lotions arent working for you anymore. sorry i'm not much help hope you find something to help good luck.x

This site has some really good info, I find is reliable. It has a lot of good advice about eczema, on diet & nutriton, supplements, creams etc.
Please type in eczema in search for all results.
For example it mentions sufferers of eczema are not able to dugest an enzyme in dairy, so avoiding dairy is a good option.
hope this helpsxx
