There 3500 calories in 1 pound, meaining u have to consume at least 3500 to gain one pound. sometimes when people dont eat right foods they gain weight and sometimes they dont. b.c if u eat wrong foods you are malnutritioned.
Just remember even if you feel like steroids should not be used cuz they have horrible effects.
If you wanna gain weight, you should gain in muscle...you will need a weight lifting regime..to gain weight. you have to keep up with it.
Ensure is a meal replacement. The other person said it was not good. that person obviously has not checked the nutrition value....if u miss ur meals its good...but i guess along with ur meals if u have that too it will give u more calories which will eaqual more weight... also rem when u r working out you shoulkd have protein shakes cuz it repairs ur muscles...
so basically eat a lot more...and lift weights.....
if u cant gain weight its not HYPO THYROIDISM...
if it has to do with ur thyroid it would be HYPERTHYROIDISM....but i cant giveu any diagnosis cuz i am not a doctor....but u should get ur self checked if u r worried...otherwise u have very good metabolism...... i used to wish to gain weight and i gained too much...lol so be carefule what u wish for.

Ensure will not help you gain weight any more than any other food source that contains calories. Ensure is a healthy food supplement that is very nutrient dense but is not necessarily any more productive at delivering weight gain than a turkey sandwiche on whole wheat and a bananna. Calorie for calorie, Ensure is not as cost efficient than other healthy food sources. But to answer your question, yes, you absolutely can gain weight from drinking Ensure if, at the end, of a 24-hour period your calorie intake has exceeded your calorie expenditure - this, very simply, is weight weight loss / weight gain is.

ur body type seems to be Ectomorph.... Try to eat 4-6 meals a day.... which contains lean red meat, low carbs, lots of vegetables. Drink plenty of water throughout the day ( dont drink much water right after meals ). But, if you want to gain not only fat but also muscles, then go hit the gym. You can send me a message for what u need to do to gain muscles if you want ( it is not some kind of advertisement or anything,,,). Good luck.

I don't know about ensure ,but if you want to gain weight, having high protein food like eggs, milk, peanut butter, protein shakes will help you. Starchy foods contain a lot of carbohydrates. Check this out http://www.toloseweight.org/gainweight.html

You should never take that junk. It is fast food with a vitamin pill! Read the label! Gaining weight by itself is not all good. Do you have a thyroid problem? Do some work with heavier weights, that will help build muscle.
