If you don't have a cent symbol on one of your keys, then try this:
go to charmap (type charmap in Run..) and locate the cent symbol. Click on it. And see the shortcut for the symbol. In my system it is Alt+0162. Or just click on it and select to copy to clipboard. And paste where u want.
This can be used for any symbol. Hope this helps.
Cheers, Ssp

As it has fallen out of disuse over the past 30 years or so, the computer qwerty keyboard does not contain the "cents" symbol. This doesn't mean that you are entirely out of luck though. Most common word processor software packages (MS Word, Wordperfect, etc...) have symbols that will allow you to do the "cents" sign. In MS Word, click on the "Insert" header on the MS Word Toolbar. The drop down menu will have "Symbol" as one of the choices. The "cents" symbol will be there if you scroll down and look for it. (Although it will look a little weird... here it is from MS Word: ¢ )
