i want to buy a telescope.tell me from where i can buy that and for how much.

A good telescope brand new telescope will generally run you no less than $300. You can get a better used one for the same price.

The price of a telescope depends on the type of telescope it is, the size of the telescope in terms of it's aperture, the type of mount, and the features it has.

Most new telescopes of any decent quality are ordered from places that advertise in magazines such as "Sky and Telescope" or "Astronomy" or from websites such as http://www.telescopes.com or http://www.oriontelescopes.com

There are of course telescope shops such as Starizona and Scope City, and even some camera shops have a wide selection of telescopes.

The price of a teliscope and how well it will work will depend on it's magnification ability. The higher the magnification power the more expensive it will be, but it should get you clearer images. My suggestion is to look for a teliscope that has different lenses and a half decent star chart. Higher priced telescopes have a lot of options that a beginner may become frustrated with, so be careful not to go overboard. Check out a Best Buy or Consumer Report magazine for top name brands and perhaps aim for mid-range. Hope this helps.

Theres a bunch of different types. you would have to know what you want to look at. there should be some cheap ones like $100 though
