I know with me, sometimes it takes awhile for me to figure out exactly what is bothering me ... maybe that's the case here. All you can do is let the person know that you're there for them, and when they're ready, they'll talk to you.

I know how you feel. I normally just give that person a day or so after asking them and being refused to have the problem spilled out to me. The other person will sometimes be over the problem if it is not that big and then tell you after they have had the time to resolve and meditate upon their problem.

You don't. If I don't feel like telling someone what is wrong it is either because I consider it to be none of their business or I just don't feel like discussing it at that time. Either way to badger someone is never acceptable.

often you can't. If this is in a relationship, you have to sit down and talk or if the other person won't, it is time to find someone else who is ready to share your life and more open.

You don't. Ask once more. When they say no, tell them you are there if you need them. When they want to tell you, they will. Maybe they just need to work on it themself for a while.
