Normally you flip them. This of course is hard to do, and hoalf the time your yolk breaks open.

The best most delicious way though is to first fry bacon in your pan. When it's done, remove the bacon from the pan (put it on some paper towels to absorb some grease and keep warm) but leave the hot bacon grease in the pan. Break your eggs into the grease and instead fo flipping your eggs, carefully spoon hot grease from the pan over the tops of the eggs. This will cook the tops and avoid flipping, plus with all the grease in the pan your eggs are much less likely to stick and to break when you remove them.

Bonus: If you cooked a lot of bacon, heat a second pan, add half the bacon grease to it and fry up some potatoes in there! Yum!

Ok well both of these are options however when I cook eggs over medium I do not flip them (becuase I tend to break the yoak), or add more oil, I use the oil that is already in the pan and with a spatula you scrape the pan to put that hot oil on top of the egg. Continue doing this for about a min or until the top is cooked to your liking.

Depends on how you like eggs cooked.

If you want eggs sunny side up, the first step is to heat about 4 tablespoons of oil. Make sure it is hot enough to keep the eggs from sticking. Cook eggs under slow fire and using a big spoon, remove excess oils at the side of the eggs and evenly spread on top to fry the top.

If you want eggs scrambled, grease pan, pour battered eggs to cook and flip it to fry the top.

I normally flip them.

But, in the past, after the egg had mostly cooked, I used to pour about 1/8 c. of water into the pan and cover it. It steams the top of the egg and requires no flipping.

I had mixed results with this method, but you may have better luck.

depends on what you are trying to do I believe there is a " Basted " egg that requires adding butter to the top of frying egg but for sunny side up egg isn't turned, over ( easy, medium, hard ) requires turning the mistake most people make when cooking eggs is using too much heat so try lower temperature

You never want to add oil to a pot thats already going unless absol necessary. This is because the food will absorb more oil when cold oil is added to the top. Flipping is better.

Are you talking about over-easy or over-medium eggs? For those, I flip them, but I also give a quick spray of Pam in the pan before flipping so it doesn't stick and break the yolk.

If you want the top fried you have to flip them. If you just want the top cooked more put a lid on the pan.

I don't add oil on top, nor do I flip them...I just lower the heat and cover them.

Flip them by all means, unless your frying them in bacon grease then you splash.
