I had chicken pox when I was 22, and although the spots werent to itchy and I didnt have a lot of them, I felt sick as a dog for over a week. High fever, chills, etc. I was back to Uni in one week and a half ( maybe even two weeks) after getting sick. I could have gone earlier, but I did not fel comfortable looking like a strawberry :-)

Best wishes, as I know chicken pox feel ****!

If you have no fever and all the "pox" have completely dried and feel up to it, you can go back to work and won't be contagious. The crusty places may take several weeks to completel heal and she should be careful to watch them for any signs of infection. However, this is not something that should have been diagnosed by phone. A blood test will be able to confirm that this was really what she had.

Once she has stopped getting any new spots it is not infectious. Really she can go back to work whenever she feels okay, it just depends on how vain she is!
Usually you can only get chickenpox once but very rarely some people get it twice. I did. That's the kind of luck I have!!
Last time it took nearly 2 weeks for me to go back to school, but I was playing for sympathy and terrified of people laughing at me!!
