You need Adobe Acrobat. Once a PDF is created, editing is limited but can be done as long as the person who created the PDF did not set security options at creation.

pdf's are special files that once created and published - they could not be edited. That is a feature designed for security reasons.

You can create the pdf( only edit the original version) using Adobe Arcrobat or the new Microsoft Office 2007.

The best editing software out there for pdfs is Pitstop hands down!
But, its expensive, and used mostly in print production.
We get pdfs from customers who use word, powerpoint, excel, publisher (which all suck for making print ready pdfs), and we can work magic on them with Pitstop.

adobe 6.0+, you have to click the text button.... otherwise you can't do anything. It looks like a "T" button...
