To lose the weight you must step up your exercise. Every single day, 45 minutes to an hour. When you have reached your desired goal weight, you can then take off a weekend or workout less time. Because then you will be maintaining. Your body is in maintaining mode right now. Changing diet alone will help, but will take much longer. If you step up your exercise and it can even be just walking, it will come off! Congrats on your sweet baby!

cut down on ur carbohydrates.Dont eat anything "white".
Omit sugar, white flour, rice and pasta from ur diet.Dont have bananas, or fruits like mangoes and other sugar laden fruits.
Dont have too much yoghurt or milk, maybe 1/2 a cup a day(120ml) of either of the 2.
You can increase ur calory intake, in fat u must do that to lose weight, have 4-5 small meals a day instead of 3 large ones. Eat when u r hungry to keep ur metabolism going. Dont fast.
You are doing fine as far as eercise is concerned. Increase it gradually if u can, maybe 5 hours a week or so.
You will lose 20 lbs if u follow this strictly in 6 weeks or so.
Good luck!

Keep eating what you are eating. If you are hungry more often try some fruit. Eating more than 3 times a day if also good for increasing your metabolism. Just eat small meals each time. Try working out more. Do cardiovascular workouts at least 3 days a week and for at least 45 minutes. Try running some. Adding some weight training two days a week for about 20 minutes each day will be good. Sounds like you are doing a good job. Just give it time, by March you should definitely have lost 10 pounds.

There's no possibility that you can lose that amount of weight in that amount of time by reducing the amount you eat. Indeed you may not be getting the nutrition you need at that level. A weight loss of about one pound a week is about as fast as you can lose weight and retain your health.
The only answer is to increase the level of exercise and that is not necessarily more time but more intensity. While Yoga is good for you, it isn't a very intensive exercise burning only about 150 calories per hour. Since you need 3500 calories to lose a pound, you would need nearly 24 hours of yoga to lose a single pound.
Power walking, on the other hand, burns about 100 calories per mile. The faster and further you walk, the more calories you burn. Walking 45 minutes a day, six days a week, you should be able to burn about 2000 calories.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.
Get started today!

I just started a new program this past Wednesday. Have you heard of the pill "Fahrenheit"??? That's what I've been taking. And, I just weighed myself today and measured my bust, waist, hips, thigh, calf and arm, and so far (within 2 days) I've lost 4 inches! I feel great. Last time I weighed myself was on Wednesday when I started it and I weighed 145 pounds. I don't have a scale right now, so I don't know how much weight I have lost. The people and Modulators will help you with ANY questions and all that you have. I want to be down to around 115-120 pounds by the end of April, so hopefully I will get there. They have a meal plan too to go with it. I feel great..... go to the website and check it all out for yourslelf. People have before and after pics up there too. If you're interested in it, sign up with them (it's free). Let me know if you have anymore questions. I'm on that site too. email me if you have any problems or anything. Good Luck!

A proper diet is the best way to lose weight naturally and keep it off. You have to eat a varied adequate and balanced diet. Your body needs all kinds of food to function properly including fat in smaller quantities though. Your body needs the nutrients and vitamins in fruits and vegetables the most, that is what you should eat the most of (at least 5 servings a day). You also need protein, and a little fat. Reduce your intake of sweets, fried food and foods that contain a lot of fat. Don't drink too many alcoholic beverages or soft drinks (they have a lot of calories). Don't go to sleep right after you eat. And finally exercise at least 3 to 4 days a week for about 45 minutes.Good luck. You can also get more information about nutrition from this site:

I started my wife on a diet program, and she has lost almost 40 lbs (baby weight plus some) in the last 6 months. Sounds like you have the diet under control, but I would add some light resistance training at least 2 times a week, and/or participating in a step or spin class. Typically you are pushed a little past your comfort zone by the instructor, and This is the key to success.

That's a lot of weight to lose in a short amount of time. From what I understand, you don't want to have an intake of less than 1200 calories, because your body starts to go into starvation mode.
Unfortunately, you will have to step up the exercise. I found that buying a treadmill and having a t.v./dvd player attached to it has made the process a lot easier. I'll watch a movie, and walk the whole time.
You may want to look into resistance training, too. Buy some hand weights. Muscle burns calories quicker.

Hi sweetie - I'm a new mom in the same situation. Part of your weight gain may be from hormones - my Dr told me that sometimes having a boy will keep mom from losing weight quicker than having a girl. I had never heard that before! And stressing yourself out about not being able to lose the weight is hard not to do, I know. Sounds like you're doing everything right. Are you getting enough sleep? If not, your cortosol levels may rise, making it harder to take the weight off. I tend to snack at night, but my secret weapons are air-popped popcorn sprayed w/ butter flavored pam and veggies w/ low-fat Ranch. Also lots of water. Best of luck - try and concentrate on what you're doing to stay healthy - you'll need energy for that baby, so don't cut calories too much. Moms are awesome and don't get enough credit for the wonderful things that they do - be proud of this new phase of your life and try not to put too much pressure on yourself!
