I do not think that religion is a hinderance to most relationships.

If God is at the center of a person's life and the person can share Christ with another person, that relationship will be blessed with the grace of God and be a stronger and more life giving relationship.

Lets be reasonable! The more harmony there is between two people, the better. The more disharmony, the more points of contention, the more difficult it will be get along. If your "religion" is not important to you, that is one thing, but if you understand these questions to be important, and to affect salvation, then it SHOULD be important. In other words, if a dramatic difference in religion does not affect the relationship, then neither of you really has a religion!

Because a person who loves God wants to follow His plan for their life which is mostly a selfless thing. And a person who is not into God has their own goals and desires that don't have much to do with God. These people cannot practically walk in the same direction in life. One serving God and the other not.

Because when you're an atheist its hard to be with a theist, you know its just one more example of disgusting ignorance which is gonna cause problems in every area of your life.

Religious people understand morality less and will wish their own parents dead in order to tell sick lies. Christ would spin in his grave if he knew how disgusting all his so-called followers are.
