I've always been more comfortable with listening, rather than talking, so it doesn't bother me too much when others talk about themselves. But my girlfriend talks about herself and her life ALL THE TIME! She says she cares what's going on with me as well, but when I do talk about myself, she acts like she isn't that interested. How do I change our way of communicating?

Some people just likes to heard themselves talk. If they are ADHD then it seems like they can't stop talking. They seem to get bored easily. I have met some people that are very kind,smart and loving, that would bore you to tears with their constant talking. I just chuckle, then say slow down let me catch up. A kind reminder that they are talking to much might help.

She is insecure,under pressure,unsure ,overwhelmed by life.You are a shy and quiet person, build up your confidence and self -worth you do not need other peoples approval.Ask her if she would like to talk to you ?If not then you can converse with others instead of relying on her vague attention .Have journey will travel!

If she doesn't seem interested in what's going on in your life, you need to ask yourself if she's the one you really want. Sounds to me like she only cares about herself. A relationship can't be one-sided. My man is quiet and reserved too but when he starts talking out of the blue about things, nothing in particular, just his thoughts......I'm tuned in 100%. I love when he talks to me about stuff. Even if it's about what he had to eat earlier that day.....I love that he can be himself around me.

tell her she talks to much.
or just tell her she needs to calm down and stop being conceited.
just do the same to her when she talks ,
act like its not interesting.
