members spoke openly about how she worried about her son and him not being married yet. She also expressed her concern that if and when it does happen, how a 'wrench' it'd be. Then another Ghanaian male member turned round and said to me, "Yes, it's the same with you. When Poopsy* marries, it'll be the same way - they'll be difficulty with separation". I didn't even ask his opinion about my personal affairs, as we're there to discuss the bible, unless anyone discusses their problems. Now it's made me think about what he said and I feel quite perturbed by it. What's it got to do with him?

Turn to the Bible for guidance and learn to forgive. Move on.

He probably believes that his unwarranted opinion is based on genuine concern. If he does it again just tell him clearly that you are happy to study the bible with him and learn with him but your family life need not concern him. If he can't respect your boundaries after that then find another group. It's up to you whether you choose to tell others at that point why you feel you have to leave.

Maybe he was checking out whether she's married or not so that he could ask her out!
