Im rooting for 'Fireball'=Gomi but Diaz agressiveness will be tough for him but I still think Gomi will get a victory!

Gomi all the way on this one.

Diaz isn't going to be able handle Gomi. It's funny because he was a 2nd or 3rd tier UFC fighter and they are throwing him in against their champ, who is arguably one of the best pound for pound fighters in the world (Him, Kid Yamamoto, and of course, the man Fedor). I think this is going to be a slaughter and was designed so by PRIDE. They want another UFC fighter to come over and get slaughtered so they can boast that PRIDE has the best fighters.

Who knows, maybe Nick can pull of the upset. He did it before against Robbie Lawler when Lawler was considered all world. So you never know. However Mach Sakarai gave Matt Hughes a run to decision (something Diaz could come close to doing) and Gomi dispatched Mach with a quickness. Not to mention Gomi is bigger than Diaz who is having to bump up in weight to fight him.

I see Gomi handling this one.

Nick Diaz is not a 2nd or 3rd tier fighter, he's good, one of the best in the world. He's only lost to excellent competition and has never been KO'ed and each fight was close. I think Gomi will win though. Gomi has better standup and Diaz is not strong enough like Aurelio to choke Gomi out. I think Gomi wins a decision.

Gomi will end up winning but Diaz is a pretty tough dude.

Diaz will be dropping more weight to fight Gomi. He typically fights at 170 but he'll be cutting to 160 so he could have some size on Gomi, not to mention his reach advantage.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Diaz catch Gomi in a submission, he is a Gracie student and anything is possible.

Diaz has proven to be DECENT fighter in the UFC, but nowhere near the level of Gomi. Gomi is a devasting fighter and I don't see Diaz winning this one.

I think the "Fireball Kid" will come out on top but this will be no easy task, Nick Diaz has wins over Chris Lytle, Drew Fickett, and Josh Neer, he KOed and vicious Robby Lawler, and went 3 rounds with both Deigo Sanchez and Karo Parisyan which many think he won those fights.

The greatest advantage Nick has in this fight is he is unpredictable, Gomi is going to stand with him but we have no clue where Diaz even wants this fight I could easy see him pull an upset here.

This match-up was announced along with a series of other match-ups including-
-Hayato Sakurai (#2 Lightweight)* vs. Mac Danzig
-Kazuo Misaki (#4 Middleweight)* vs. Frank Trigg
-Kazuhiro Nakamura (#9 Light Heavyweight)* vs. Travis Wiuff
