You are a few centuries too late. However, I do believe that the Religious Right and other Ted Haggard Christians, would love to bring back the Inquisition. You might apply to Bethel University in Minnesota. That a good old bible thumping, homo hating, school that would be more than interested in helping you become a good inquisitor.

now, Budget cuts to pay for the lawsuits against the pedophile priests we were suppoosed to be investigating.

You can start by consulting the OT for guidance. Let's see... ah, here we go.
