Did you know about tube false mri scans that surgeons use for spine space disc measurements which can cause the high rate of Failed Back Surgery http://tinyurl.com/34bg4a Now upright spine disc space measurements are more accurate http://tinyurl.com/fqb67 more info. http://tinyurl.com/9s5hu would you challenge your Dr. if he wants you to get a tube mri scan ? vs a upright mri scan that rountley finds the complete pathology that tube mri scans overlook

i did not.
i do know that i refused back surgery!
i have full "range of motion" even though i have moderate to severe pain in my back, i do flexibility stretching every day, and
i am convinced this keeps me in better shape!
i have lost two inches in my height since my car accident, due to my disks degenerating, but at least i have range of motion
i know others who have had surgery who can not bend and are still in pain!
as for mri....i had a knee x ray taken the last time standing up!
i was like what the.....?
he said it shows the space when the knee is in use! i said wow,
then the dr said i want you to stop using the immobilizer and use the knee and do strength training! far different then my old dr
im glad you posted this, thank you

Before any surgery, it is usual to get a dye study with injection of dye into spinal canal. I have never seen an upright mri and have no idea how it could be done.
