10,000 steps per day is the advice - which isn't as many as you think.
If you are eating sensibly and exercising gently and regularly (think of it as moving more rather than exercise, its easier) then you should lose 1 to 2 pounds per week. Weight Watchers recommends an average weight loss of 1 to 2 pounds each week as it is sustainable and you are more likely to keep it off.
Try really simple things like parking further away from the door or hand delivering things at work. You will soon see the steps clocking up.

I just started a new program this past Wednesday. Have you heard of the pill "Fahrenheit"??? That's what I've been taking. And, I just weighed myself today and measured my bust, waist, hips, thigh, calf and arm, and so far (within 2 days) I've lost 4 inches! I feel great. Last time I weighed myself was on Wednesday when I started it and I weighed 145 pounds. I don't have a scale right now, so I don't know how much weight I have lost. The people and Modulators will help you with ANY questions and all that you have. I want to be down to around 115-120 pounds by the end of April, so hopefully I will get there. They have a meal plan too to go with it. I feel great..... go to the website and check it all out for yourslelf. People have before and after pics up there too. If you're interested in it, sign up with them (it's free). Let me know if you have anymore questions. I'm on that site too. email me if you have any problems or anything. Good Luck!

In a pound of fat there are about 3500 calories. If you want to loose 2 of them each week then somehow you have to eat 1000 calories less per day than you use up.
Apparantly the amount of calories you burn per mile is equal to double your weight in pounds divided by 3.5, or about 100 calories per mile for someone who is about 12 stones. This would suggest a 10 mile walk each night!! A lot I think.
I would suggest a walk each night, a mile and a half or so (not far - 30 mins), and a small change in your diet, for example, if you eat a bar of chocolate each day, stop eating it - a small change that will drop your calories eaten by 1500 calories a week (approx), plus 10 a week miles walking would be OK.
Loosing weight isnt about mad quick diets and going back to your old lifestyle straight after, it should be a small change that you can sustain but the weight loss will be slower - but it will stay off.

Eat nourishing food with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables being part of it. Chew each morsel at least 32 times. This will activate signal to the brain as soon as u have had enough. Besides this change in eating style, take regular light exercises and brisk walks every day. U will be able to gain/shed all extra weight gracefully and in a reasonable time span. No food or drink in between the food and not more than three meals a day, unless u r diabetic.

Jamie all Ihave too say is this is erroneous.. working is the main suitable component for dropping weight and a weight loss plan is a extensive section besides. Do the two yet do no longer pass to over the area with exercising like high priced classes maby get a gym club or maybe use equiptment you have around your place its much less annoying than you think of to get in shape it in basic terms takes annoying artwork and dedication

Don't give up on the gym. YOu have to really want to lose weight in order to lose it. It takes serious discipline of what you eat and how much you exercise.
In order to lose weight, you MUST do cardio. I suggest walking 30-45 minutes a few times a week.Tweak your diet and you will see major results.
But again, you have to WANT to lose weight to do it!

Steps taken isn't your best bet either stick to a distance or amount of time doing the exersice. I would suggest making a table that as you loose more and more weigh you increase the distance or amount of time. good luck!
