what dose Messaging Goals of a product mean?

I think it means that they have certain things they need to do like advertisements etc to get their product across to the public

Although I'm not familiar with the exact term, based on my own professional experience, I'd imagine it have to do with POSITIONING: Product attributes and benfits (to the target consumer). In a good campaign this positioning would be reflected in all promotional efforts, eg, advertising, in-store promotion, customer incentives, PR, etc.

..... The goals of message would be to create A) awareness, and B) the desire to purchase in your target customer.
