I have a hardrive with absolutely no trace of windows on it and and when I try to install Windows XP it stops when it says opening windows on the blue set up screen.I turn my computer on then when it says boot from CD I press a button it then takes me to the blue screen that says loading files after it says loading files it says opening windows and stays there. It is supposed to go to a screen to setup partions for installing windows. Is it because its just an upgrade disc and not a full install and if so is it normal to stop at this screen when it says "opening windows".On my other computer it used to go to a screen that said "please insert full version" Thanks

when using an upgrade disc you must have the previous operating system already installed for it to work, you can only use an empty hard drive with a full version of windows xp

No its so uncomplicated as that yet first you do what ever differences you go with to do along with your hardware and then set up domicile windows xp so it is going to sign in the most contemporary hardware factors and that works precise
