don't worry she won't starve, my daughter is nearly 4 and she still does this, try and make food fun for her, make faces out of fruit and vegetables, or if you are really worried, see your health visitor.

well maybe that means that she is sick. you should take her to the doctors before she start to vomit and stuff like that. that is the best thing to do for your baby. because she may have a stomach virus and you don't know it. my baby had a stomach virus an i did not know it then i took her to the doctors an they said she had a stomach infection and she had a stomach virus.
So the best thing that you can do is to take her to the doctors and get her checked out.
You really need to address this situation now. It is really hard with a picky child - I have one now 4 years old, and have been trying to combat it - feel i am getting somewhere now.
You should not have to be getting up at 3 am to give her a bottle. She should be sleeping through the night now, and not needing a 'top up feed' early hours of the morning.
I am afraid you are going to have to completely change her eating habits. What else does she like other than crisps? When my daughter was 2 she was terrible. I used to leave bowls of things about the house for her to nibble on throughout the day. eg raisins, cheese, bread and butter, cut up apple, bananas. There are so many things you can leave in a bowl for a few hours. She really liked pasta so i would cook it for her whenever she wanted it.
Find some foods she likes, and maybe give her a tonic to make her hungry - I used MINIDEX - it is completely safe (doctor prescribed it after she didnt eat ANYTHING for 4 days!!) She eats quite well now - still fussy but a whole lot better.
I do hope you can sort this out for both your daughter and yourself. Getting up at 3 am every day must be very tiring. Also the stress and worry about her is wearing on you too.
Good luck. Hope you get some good advice on this.
and i am wishing you some more good luck!!

Oh, and dont beat yourself up about giving her crisps!!! my personal opinion is that if you NEVER let your child have foods like crisps, sweets and chocolate when they are old enough they will gorge on them and have serious problems! Everything is OK in moderation.

try porrige before she goes to bed!
also instead of eating crisps as snacks try- dried fruit- yoghurt covered banan chips- yoghurt covered fruit etc- My 2 year old would just constantly snack during the day so I use the above as an alternative-
I wouldn't give her milk in the early hours of the morning- they just get used to having a snack- I know I could eat a horse at 3am!! just give her some juice or water if she'll drink it- and try and settle her back - looks like shes just got into a habit!! good luck!!

We had this with my son and were told not to keep giving him milk as it fills them up without them having to eat food, we were told to give him a plate of food with small amounts of different foods on such as raisins and cucumber and just let her take what she wants. The thing to remember is she will eat if she is hungry. This will pass my 12 year old is now normal in size and weight and has hollow legs, he eats more than me... Good luck

stop giving her crisps, when she knows she wont get them she will soon eat. If she is that hungry she will eat properly. AND the milk stop giving her so much milk.

What are you doing feeding crisps to a 20 month old? I think you need some professional help and advice on the correct diet for a kid that young.
