In acupuncture each meridian has a time of day that they operate most strongly. Liver is from 1am to 3am and Lung is from 3am to 5am.

You should be able to tell which it is because lung conditions feel sad or depressing whereas liver conditions should feel irritated or impatient.

Massaging the appropriate meridian might help. The liver meridian runs down the inside of the leg. The lung meridian runs from the inside of the thumb to the front of the point of the shoulder.

if you mean you wake up almost exactly 2:25 then this can be a habit . or a noise from somewhere that starts at that time
what you do when you get up has much more to do with what the problem may be then what time you get up.
if you have to pee once a night at that time it can mean a enlarged prostate gland . if your only getting up once per night and there is no pain or other problems go for your yearly check up.
other then that no as far as this being a liver thing possible but
it could be many things . if your older then its somewhat normal but still have the yearly check up.

I am not convinced this is a liver thing, but more likely a "too much research" thing.

Seriously, if you are having troubles with sleep at a particular time every night, while you are awake, research "sleep hygiene". It is a pattern of behaviour modification that can assist with sleep problems without using chemical assistance.

What does waking up have anything to do with your liver? Do you have to urinate or are you just awake? Can you fall back asleep? Maybe you are going to bed too early? Need a little more info.

No, never. Its sounds a bit far fetched that waking up at a certain time indicates a particular disease...mind you I have heard that if you look at your clock and it 1.11am then it means that your guardian angel is watching over you. Well, it makes about as much sense of diagnosing by waking time!;
