There is only one archangel. His name is Michael. The name “Michael” means “Who Is Like God?” thus indicating that this foremost prince upholds Jehovah’s sovereignty. Since Michael is also a champion of God’s people, we have reason to identify him with the unnamed angel that God sent ahead of the Israelites hundreds of years before: “Here I am sending an angel ahead of you to keep you on the road and to bring you into the place that I have prepared. Watch yourself because of him and obey his voice. Do not behave rebelliously against him, for he will not pardon your transgression; because my name is within him.”—Exodus 23:20, 21.
It is logical to conclude that this was the angel that delivered so many important communications to God’s people. (Acts 7:30, 35; Judges 2:1-3) He had full authority from God to act in His name, just as kings in ancient times entrusted their seal rings to reliable subjects, empowering them to act in their name.—Exodus 3:2, 3; 4:10.
Is there anything here to make us believe that Michael and Jesus Christ are the same person? Well, Jesus is called “the Word.” (John 1:1) He is God’s spokesman. This special angelic messenger, too, was clearly God’s chief spokesman to the Israelites.

Archangels are still doing there miraculous work, they are listening and granting our wishes ever single day, some times we don't hear them and we do something wrong, but they are there to let you know which way to head, it is always the same path that is assigned for you. Try a defy them and all they can say is we did our best. Your wishes have to be good, they know if your a truly sincerely or not, if you are not at the moment they will change your structure to be more compassionate until you getting or die before your time.

"Angel" (in Greek) means messenger, "Arch" means High. Various people have gone through Scripture and have made various models of how they think the Almighty ordered the Angels. Some say there are 4 different orders of "Angels". I don't believe that you can be clear from Scripture that there is a difference. The Angel who became the adversary (Satan) was the "Highest" angel. (The angel who covered the Almighty). I believe the "Arch" just referred to the job they did at the moment, rather than the type of being they are. (But we won't know for sure 'till the other side).

There is only one Archangel. Not many or several.
Like cherubs, and others they serve God and carry out his will, including assisting human servants on the earth.
Jehovah is a God of order, it is not surprising that his vast angelic family is organized.—1 Corinthians 14:33.
The foremost angel, both in power and authority, is the archangel, Jesus Christ, also called Michael. (1 Thessalonians 4:16; Jude 9) Under his authority are seraphs, cherubs, and angels.
Seraphs are in attendance at God's throne. Their assignment evidently involves declaring God's holiness and keeping his people clean.—Isaiah 6:1-3, 6, 7.
Cherubs are also seen in Jehovah's presence. As bearers or escorts of God's throne, they uphold Jehovah's majesty.—Psalm 80:1; 99:1; Ezekiel 10:1, 2.
Angels (meaning "messengers") are agents and deputies of Jehovah. They carry out the divine will, whether it involves deliverance of God's people or the annihilation of the wicked.—Genesis 19:1-26.

To keep it simple, Archangels are kinda like the generals in Gods army of many angels. They hold more power to defeat evil.

Unknown... The literal translation of the word is chief messenger. This would indicate some power or ability beyond that of a "normal" angel, but since the regular version was terrifying to humans, the bigger and better version is possibly more so... We know very little about ANY angel.
