Well you have two choices. One you can capture it and give it to a non kill animal shelter or you can bring it in and give it food and water and take it to a vet so it can get a check up so it doesn't have anything that will make you sick. So you can keep it if you do the second choice.

It could be serious. Why not take her to a Vet and find out for sure what the problem is. You seem as though you like the kitty well enough to let it visit, and "slime you" She is most probably sick and needs to see a Vet. Then if she gets well, maybe you could give her a home with you. If you are concerned about the cost of the vet, tell them it is a stray. There might not be any charge for you helping out the poor kitty. I once took a kitten that found me to the vet and because I rescued it (and saved its life) This vet who I had never been to before did not charge me anything for bringing her in. She would have died otherwise I was told. So do a good deed and take poor kitty to a Vet today! Even if you don't want the kitty, please take her to a vet and they will find her a home if she is okay. OK? Good luck

Kitty colds are pretty common and can be taken care of with some antibiotics which is no big deal. But it could be something else so take it to the vet to be checked and see if there is a microchip so you can find the owner.
I would bring her in and keep her in room with the essentials and try to find her owner with posters or an ad. If no one claims her then you can keep her.
Unfortunately there is many irresponsible pet owners that dump their pet or move and leave them to fend for themselves. Some cats will leave their owners if not treated right.
Giving this kitty a good home is the right thing to do.

No, snot from a cat's nose is not healthy. She may have an infection and will need to see a vet. If you or a friend can adopt her and have this done, that is great. If not, I suggest you have her picked up or take her into the SPCA/other shelter yourself (call first to find out drop-off times.) It may sound cruel to send her to a shelter, but she needs medical attention, and if she remains stray it is very likely she will eventually contribute to the unwanted animal population, be attacked by another animal, or be hit by a car. If she's still a kitten, it's likely she will be adopted out in no time.

No idea without taking the kitten to a vet. Does the kitten have a collar and look well taken care of?
If the answer is no to both either:
A. Take the cat in yourself
or
B. Take the cat to a local animal shelter.
Let the kitten get the care and attention it needs.
If the cat does look well taken care of and has a collar, call the owner on the collar and express to the owner you think the cat is sick and needs a vet visit.
Good Luck!

If you care about this cat and don't want to fork out for the vet visit, get her into some kind of transport and take her to the humane society/shelter/whatever you have there localy. She doesn't sound healthy, and this time of year I doubt it could get better on it's own.
Yes, bringing her to a shelter would most likely mean you'd never see her again, but it's better to not see her and know she's got a good home than to see her one last time, dead on the side of the road, ya know?

Please do this kitty a favor and take her to the vet. If not that, at least call your Humane Society or SPCA, and PLEASE, PLEASE--if you have other cats, do NOT allow this cat around yours. Since this kitty seems to be a stray, any number of things could need medical attention with this cat: upper respiratory infection, parvo, pan-luc, leukemia, FIV (feline aids), etc. If you care about this cat and are thinking of adopting her, please get her to the vet NOW. Good luck

I would take her to the vet, she could need some meds. Is this a stray? can you adopt? Or maybe foster for a local shelter till you can find baby a home? Now it is so cold for a baby to be out alone... and it could be serious. Please do take her to the kitty Dr.
Thank you....

Sounds like she has the Feline Neumonia or something with the lungs..Take her to the vet or she wont live too long from my experience with cats..But some can out live it and they will do fine..But just in case I would take her to the vet if you like her and want to keep her for yourself..Goodluck

She may have a cold. Cat colds are different then human colds. She needs antibiotics or it can get serious.
