Before reading, make sure you note that I'm going to turn 17 in less than 5 months.

Last night I had a dream. A dream that I badly had to pee, but I couldn't find a bathroom. I finally found a bathroom, but I started relieving myself on the floor before I could reach the toilet. I woke up to find myself sleeping in a puddle of urine.

Now, I don't have a history of wetting the bed, but I do have a history of waking up and feeling like the Mississippi River is going to shoot out of me. Therefore I know my body produces most of its urine during the night, and it pisses me off....literally....

This is the first time I've actually peed during the night though. Haven't done that in like 8 years. I woke up and drank a cup of coffee. So I peed again this morning already. Now I almost feel like I have to pee again.

Something is wrong here....

It's definitely frustrating, but don't panic -- this is a lot more common than you might think.

It sounds like you either have a smaller than average bladder or else an imbalance in the hormones that normally regulate urione production during the night. If it really bothers you, there are meds that your doctor can prescribe to help reduce the amount of urine your body produces at night. These, of course, cost money, and may have other side effects that may be worse than the original problem -- so you'll just have to decide for yourself if that's worth trying or not.

As for the waking up in a puddle -- it may just be an isolated incident, which many otherwise healthy adults DO experience from time to time, just most don't choose to talk about it! Probably it was just a case of you having to urinate during the night like you normally do, and for whatever reason your body was too tired or stressed out that night to separate your dream from reality, and so you stayed asleep until your bladder just couldn't stand the pressure anymore, and out came the Mississippi. If it stays an isolated incident, or just happens once in a great while when you're really tired or stressed (stress just seems to trigger this for some people), I wouldn't worry too much about it. If it happens again often enough to bother you though, have a doctor check you out just to make sure nothing seriously wrong is going on with either your bladder or your metabolism (i.e., diabetes).

As far as having to pee repeatedly in the morning after you wet the bed... unfortunately I've been there. I think what happens is that when you wet the bed, it puts a lot of strain on your bladder and you end up needing to pee more for awhile afterward than you normally would. As long as it goes back to normal eventually, it shouldn't be anything to worry about.

OK, try NOT drinking ANY thing after like 8pm at night, and also going to the bathroom before you go to bed. I have not had this problem since I was a kid. LIKE 12 years old or so. BUT I do find myself having to get up twice every single night to relieve myself. BUT If I DON'T drink anything after 7 or 8 at night and I make sure I relieve myself BEFORE I go to bed I usually don't have to get up and can sleep all night without interruption. Good Luck. If this doesn't work you may need to see a doctor.

I tend to have this type of dream, like having to go. But i wake up and go.

Sounds like you are a deep sleeper.

Don't drink anything for a few hours before you go to bed, and you won't have to go all night.

If you get thirsty in the middle of the night, take a small sip of something.

Drink plenty of fluids during the day.

If you constantly feel thirsty, and have had recent weight gain, and constantly feel hungry, and tired, go to a doctor to get checked for Diabetes or hypoglycemia.

Reduce fluids to a minimum in the 2 hours before your bed time. Drink most of your fluids in the day. You probably have a weak bladder and sleep deeply which causes these types of accidents. You may want to look at some exercises to strengthen the pevic muscles and try and improve your control. See link below;

this sounds like to me that you are just drinking too much before you go to bed. we have to train our bodies just as if we were to train a child. if you drink too much before bedtime you are going to have to urineate throughout the night. i have the same problem. i have a habit if drinking alot of water in the evenings. and yes . i wake up all hours of the night to go to the bathroom. and also those dreams. if you have to go bad enough. it will show up in dreams and you will pee in bed. so slow down on your liquid intake before bedtime. good luck

Having a weak bladder, be it on a regular basis or only once in a while, is something completely normal... and treatable.

That is pretty funny, i'm not gonna lie, but I feel mean making fun of your situation. Nothing is wrong with you, i'd say it's a fetish.
