I don't think that the great design is about peace. Well not necesarely, what i do think is that in human evolution, some of us, as we are rissing up in the understanding of the concept of God's will, follow some steps. Many people think that peace and love, in all of their forms, is the ultimate purpouse.
Then if we presume that evoulution and higher means of understanding are wrote in steps ... and the steps ore orderd form 1 to lets say 13 with 13 as the higher one, i found that love and peace can be find on lets say the step number 7. I cannont say what is on the 11 to 13 steps but i do belive that on the 10-th step is procreation of the species and aspiration.
And the way to prove this is taking love, for example ... the results of love in the most general form put the man into the position of loving a woman and vice-versa. And as long that position is maintained it usualy (in the majority of cases) resumes at sexual acts from there resulting kids and so the procreation is accomplished.
So the first step in understandig God's Will I think is to accept our human nature for procreation and aspiration, and even if we don't agree with the ideea of them being of the 10-th step, just let them be there and embrase the 7-th step as being the highest.
So if God's Will would be on the 12 step of the evolution of mankind, I presume that on the 11 step could be the concept of loving God and vice-versa, resulting from here the acceptance into havens.
This question you asked gives a very big debate behind it. Thou I accept I may be wrong I belive that our purpouse here is to procreate, dream, and seek redemption.

Not to sound to "PREACHY"
But since the fall of Adam and Eve in the Garden, by disobeying him and taking the forbidden fruit. It has always been Gods Will that Man's communion with him would be restored... Hince the presence of Jesus. That if you believe on him and repent for your sins, you'll have everlasting life with Him(God).
Love comes in when you think of how a child was born to be beaten and eventually die for sins that we(mankind) has committed. Peace and Love would be in the fellowship with God who is Peace and Love. I hoped that this helped???

God wills for all people to love one another, and to live in peace in harmony together, yes Peace and Love
To live in God's new world, we must love one another, even as God teaches us to do. (1 Thessalonians 4:9) An Oriental Bible student said: "I look forward to the time when, as the Bible promises, all people will have learned to love one another." And we can be sure that God will keep his promises! "I have even spoken it," he says, "I shall also do it."-Isaiah 46:11.
But to enjoy the blessings under God's Kingdom, you must take in Bible knowledge, as millions of honesthearted people worldwide are doing. (John 17:3)

Haven't a clue. I believe in Him, but I'm not vain enough to think I've got Him all figured out.
