My ex and i broke up one year and 6 months ago..as of now, we're "friends"..honestly i still love the guy and sometimes i ask him for a hug. I also send him expensive gifts during christmas, his birthday, valentines day etc. and whenever we see each other. I even saved for a round trip plane fare to be where he was so that i could celebrate my birthday with him... Is it obvious that i still love him? and DOES IT LOOK LIKE I'M COURTING HIM?

it looks like you holding to something that you should have let go of a long time ago!!! If you get on so well why are not not together?? Why is he still accepting your gifts if he doesn't want to be with you?? Sounds like he is milking it and you are letting him!! Sit him down ask him outright does he have any intentions of being with you again?? girl you do not want to look back in 6 years time and wonder what an earth you've been waiting for. and missed someone else along the way all on a hope that you may or may not get back together, trust me!! good luck

Given the circumstances, it does appear as though you are courting him. The real question is do you want to be with him still? If you continue to court him in a round about way, he may move on to another woman. How would it make you feel if he brought someone with him to meet his good "friend". You should also take into account whatever made you break off the relationship in the first place. If it was something superficial, then perhaps you can patch up and not risk losing him to someone else. Either way the choice is yours. Good luck.

Yes...I wonder, does he do the same things for you? If he does, than I would say that the two of you have resumed your relationship ...with no rules......if he does not do the same things for you..ie..you are putting in the effort and he is receiving only...then I would think that you are being used. It is very obvious that you are still in love with him and I have a feeling that you do not date anyone else....does he? Be careful hun.

Yes, it does appear that you're courting him. It's also pretty obvious that you have feelings for him.
I suggest this: If he's not showing any reciprocation of the feelings/intrest, slowly back away from the situation. He is most likely using you for what he can get out of you.

its pretty obvious..
sometimes we need to let go, if he is not interested I think you better stop doing what you're doing right now.You dont want to hurt yourself at the end. If he is into you, he will do something about it right? it's seems that he just using you because you are there.

i think you need to ask your self if its love as in boyfriend and girlfriend or just that you love him as your best friend who you care deeply about and love to spend time with. i don't think it looks like your dating him from sounds like a fair distance away.
