I hope so. Is it gods will for me to study and get my bachelor in business? Or does he want me to go straight out on the streets, spreading his word. Well i am spreading his word through the internet instead of learning for my exams right now. :) Peace and Love.

The problem is, if there is a God then how can I know what he really wants? All religions are about the ideas some ancient men had about what God's will is and they have been adjusted to fit the needs and desires of men in power throughout history.

If some God created me then he probably made me the way he wanted me. Why would he make me somehow different and then hide from me so I would certainly not know with any certainty whether he even exists at all or what he wants from me?

I simply follow my own natural instincts and senses and try to be the best I can be according to my own conscience.

Peace!

I would be a hypocrite if I say yes. I always pray for guidance whenever I have to make a big decision and then follow what I think is the best thing to do. I use the Ignatian system for discerning God's will. Sometimes I make a mistake but that's okay because I get better in discerning his will..

Somewhat but i know what i want i don't really know what god wants. The church may speculate on what god's will is but the bible was made for an audience. If logically thought about how many people witnessed christ's death he was in favor towards the end of his life by lots of people and by writing a book for those people they would learn then pass it down and "christianity would live on" However today it's a tool of manipulation for the most part, and i doubt any of us know god's true will for us. What if his will brings us through some dark and dreary times? Would i be woman enough to handle it? I don't know and until that answer is a resounding joyful yes, then no i don't really think i want god's will.

That's an illogical question. One cannot desire that which is not one's will. It's a contradiction.

However, one could override their will if they will in favor of God's will but the will to do so must necessarily be stronger than their own will which, in such an eventuality, would paradoxically mean that they didn't actually will what they willed.

Aren't you glad we cleared that up?

Do you EVEN know what that really means? It means follow your soul but people are too weak to do that so they made up God, I'm an Atheist (i believe in an afterlife but not god) and nothing changed for me when I stopped being Christian, I thought it would, I figured "I don't believe in God now, so I can do my own thing" WRONG. I tried it but I discovered I have a soul that gets hurt when I sin and since it's MY soul, I'd really rather not hurt it.

Matthew 7:21.......“Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will.

Way too many religion are geared around people doing their own will............even so called Christian ones........they need a good wake up call.

Yes I always pray for his will. I believe God gives us choices and it is left up to us to make the right one. There are times we do make the wrong decisions. But you know God is always there to pick us up!!!
