It's happened twice on severe dog-legs and it's called a Condor!

well most people have assumed you were asking about 4 under par on one hole and there answers are mostly correct however if you were referring to someone being four under par for a round of golf the the answere is different. Par is the score that has been determined each hole and the total should be played in. Most courses have a Par of 72. If a person were 4 under par then he shot a 68, 4 strokes better than the Par score for the course.

Condor, Double Albatross or Triple Eagle (as previously stated by some other answerees)

A Golfer named Mike Crean achieved an amazing Condor on a STRAIGHTAWAY Par 5 at altitude. It was on the 9th Hole at the Green Valley Ranch GC on the 517yd Par 5

The only possible time a person can go four under on a single hole would be to have a hole in one on a par 5. Good Luck. It would be called a Hole In One.

If you score a ''4 under par'' on a hole this means that it must have been a par 5 hole.....therefore you can only score a ''4 under par'' on a par 5 hole, so this means you have scored a ''hole in one''.........which would be very difficult as most 5 par holes are over 500yds long.......... i dont think Tiger Woods could hit the ball that far off the tee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Considering an albatross is also known as a double-eagle, I would say a triple-eagle.

While it is extremely unlikely for a hole-in-one on a par 5, some courses DO have par 6s or higher, although I have never played one.

it is impossible for some one to get 4 under par without getting a hole-in-one b/c there are no par sixes.

but a 3 under par is called an albatross.

there is no term for it. nobody can physically hit a ball 450-500 yards off a tee into the hole, especially since par 5's arent straight holes from tee to fairway to green. at best u could go 3 under.

Its called........some chance, as you would have to be hitting the ball about 500 yards off the tee on a par five, the world remax driving champ could not even do that. so if you can fair play, Tell your friends that you got a some chance today and see what they think

I've never played golf so I am guessing. I think it means that the golfer is able to get his golfball in each hole hitting the ball an average 4 time less times than it takes the average player in the game.
