If you had the choice between being an evil, hated person who had millions in the bank or a much-loved, popular person with not a penny to their name living on the bread line - which would you be?

If you are a much-loved and popular person, you will not live on the bread line. You will fare better than that because you will have friends that help you.....find a job, let you have a place to stay, etc....You may never be rich but you will have your needs met. If you are evil then you will die alone. Money isn't everything.

You don't measure the quality of a man by his wealth, you measure it by the people that love or respect him.

Well the second sounds like me at the moment - without being so much loved and popular - so I'll go for number 2 as it would be an improvement on my current situation. Being wealthy makes the nuts and bolts of life easier at times but does not bring deep inner peace and contentment.

I'd pick the bread line. I've seen a lot of rich people who thought they were something on a stick. Like, because they were rich, they could be as over-bearing as they felt like. I'll pick poor any day.

A much loved person for sure, I cannot imagine being evil, regardless of my amount of money.

the latter. Because I value people over the value of the dollar. And my dad wonders why I want to become a choir director in K-12 education... LOL

I would rather be the much-loved popular person. But heck, does it have to be with not a penny to my name.:)
