Heaven would be life continued in a way that we cannot comprehend.
Hell would be not conscious, and never living again. A total blank, nothingness.
Either would be preferable than what I got right now, and where the world is.
Beam me up Scotti, I am done here.
Damn am I done!!!!

Death is inevitable. The thief on the cross knew when his would occur, but we can not predict our own. After his death, the crucified criminal went to live in paradise with Jesus. Some of us will also live eternally in God's presence. But others will experience everlasting torment, forever separated from Him.
If we receive Jesus as our Savior, our penalty for sin is paid. We are adopted into God's family, and Heaven is our eternal home. If we reject Jesus, we remain alienated from the Lord and under condemnation for our sin. We are destined to experience eternal judgment. God won't accept any of man's excuses because there is no acceptable defense for unbelief. (Acts 4:12)
Become part of God's family today. Acknowledge your sinfulness, and express your faith in these words:
"God, I have sinned against You. (Romans 3:23) I've followed my own way and refused to give You the right to rule in my life. (Romans 3:10-12) I recognize I am separated from You and cannot rescue myself. I do believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son. I accept the truth of the Scriptures? that His death on the cross paid my sin-debt in full. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4) And I ask You to forgive me of my sins. (1 John 1:9) By faith, I receive You, Lord Jesus, as my personal Savior from this moment on."
If you just spoke those words to God, then, like the thief on the cross, you have received salvation? a gift of God's grace. The heavenly Father welcomes every person who comes to Him through His Son, regardless of background, age, or current situation. Through Jesus, the right to enter paradise is yours!

1) Hell
2) I'm an atheist

The last place I'd want to spend eternity is in heaven with a Hitler-God who drowns and slaughters millions, and commands his followers to hurt and kill people. Also not interested in spending eternity with people who would condone and praise such evil acts.

Heaven and hell are subjective, IMHO.

I've pondered about Heaven, and then something occurred to me - how pleasant would Heaven be if it's filled with the many obnoxious people who claim they'll go there?

Regardless of where I go, I think I would take an astral taxi to get there. (Just hold onto your stomach, though - those astral taxi cab drivers drive way too fast.)

I would choose heaven because I would not like to burn forever and forever in the lake of fire or hell. Your friends might tell you that hell is the place to go because they can party have fun but that is not true, hell is full of sinners that wail and moan everyday and have no rest but heaven on the other hand is peaceful and has no sin at all. If you don't want to go to hell but want to go to heaven, here it is in four easy steps how to know that you are going to heaven when you die.
1. You have sinned.
"...There is none righteous, no, not one." Romans 3:10
"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23

2. The penalty for sin is death and hell.
"For the wages of sin is death..." Romans 6:23a
"And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death." Revelation 20:14

3. Jesus died to pay for our sins.
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
"...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23b

4. Jesus invites you to be saved today!
"For whosoever shall upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13
"...if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." Romans 10:9

There it is the four basic steps in knowing that you can go to heaven when you die. Hope you realize that hell is not a place of party but of torment and that you would rather go to heaven.

I do have a choice, and I thank God for the answer. To have real life, peace and love make Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior.

John 14:6 "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me". -Jesus Christ

Heaven it is! You get to hell automatically, except you accept Jesus Christ as your savior. Ask him for forgiveness of your sins, for we all are sinners and nobody is perfect. Also forgive others for the sins they have done upon you. Essential for living your life on this earth is the love of god. Love him all the time and let him love you. For his love for you is infinite.

That depends on how heaven and hell would be. The way they are usually described make them both sound like hell.

I would prefer just dying and going to neither.

I would choose heaven. I would get there by believing in Jesus Christ, doing my best to follow his ways, and asking God to forgive my sins. Best wishes.
